Susan P. Kennedy, 67, of Reno, passed away September 12, 2008 at her home. She was born May 11, 1941 in Detroit, MI to Fred and Lucille (Lee) Sumner. She married Michael W. Kennedy on February 13, 1982 in Moberly, MO. They moved to Reno 11 years ago from Moberly. Susan worked as a cook at Harrahs for the past 10 years and was affectionately known as the "Omelet Queen". She enjoyed designing and making greeting cards.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband Michael, daughter, Vicki Lynn Longwell, Reno, Barbie Renne Bink, Lawson, MO, and Tammy Marie Corriveau, Belton, MO, son James Fredrick Pfaff, Chula Vista, CA, brothers; Fred V. Sumner, Millstadt, IL, Frank Sumner, Beardstown, IL, Rod T. Sumner, Bellevue, IL, and Noel Sumner, Ferguson, MO, 19 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 7 p.m. at Walton Funeral Home, 875 W. 2nd Street, Reno. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 17, at 9 a.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 1575 Delucchi Lane, Suite 214, Reno, NV 89502.
