Carr and Laura were married in Comanche in 1887 where they farmed. They moved to Oplin about 1914 or 1915. The family lived northwest of Oplin, then moved to a place southwest of town where they farmed.
Mr. Roberson raised turkeys. After the hens weaned the young birds, he would herd them in the pastures nearby.
