FORT WAYNE, Ind.-Remo J. Schiavo, 80, died March 4, 2009 after a brief stay at Hospice Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born May 6, 1928 in Caspian, the son of the late Louis and Elizabeth Schiavo. Following graduation from Stambaugh High School in 1948, he resided and was employed in Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Geno.
He is survived by sisters and brother; Florence Webber and Ann Brunamonti of Caspian, Archie Schiavo of Sun City, Ariz., Loretta Shepich of Reston, Va., and Gloria Flink of Sun City; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service and burial will take place in Michigan at a later date.
The family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Norman Clisch, pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in the Stambaugh Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
