Mrs. Joseph (Blanche) M. Carbon 87, of 1433 N. Sixth St., Manitowoc, died Friday evening, Aug. 21, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arthur H. Wille will officiate and burial will be in Branch Evergreen Cemetery, Branch.

Mrs. Carbon was born May 28, 1894, in the Township of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Wenzel and Elizabeth Dworak Titera. She grew up and was educated in the Town of Kossuth moving to Branch in 1920 and then moving to Manitowoc in 1979. She was married to Joseph Carbon, Aug. 31, 1920, at Waukegan, Ill. Mrs. Carbon was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, charter member of the Branch Homemakers Club and women's Auxiliary of the VFW Otto Oas Post No. 650.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph; two daughters and sons-in-law, Grace and Russell Rank of Kewaunee and Dorothy and Donald Krejacarek of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. L.V. Titera of Manitowoc; two grandsons, Captain Donald Krejcarek of Lawton, Okla. and David Krejcarek of Virginia Beach, Va.; four great grandchildren, Michelle, Amy, Laura and Michael Krejcarek, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph in 1953, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and at the funeral home Tuesday until 11 a.m. and then at the church from noon till the time of services.

Notes from Branch
Joseph Carbon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carbon Sr., and Miss Blanche Titera, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Titera of Francis Creek, surprised their friends by slipping away quietly and getting married at Waukegan, Ill. They are now on a honeymoon trip. Upon their return they will reside at Branch where Mr. Carbon conducts a blacksmith shop.
