He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in 10th Armored Division, 21st Tank Battalion where he received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Albin attended the First Presbyterian Church of MWC. He enjoyed studying God's word, woodworking, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, birdwatching and being with his family.
His son: John Adams, two sisters: Wynona Howard and Velma Harris preceded him in death. Albin is survived by his wife: Ruth of the home; one daughter: Anita and her husband, A.J.; two grandchildren: Tamara and Mark; two sisters: Kathleen Powell and Lola Atkins and 15 nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Arlington Memory Gardens Mauseleum under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home.
