Funeral for Neva M. Hardiman, 89, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Koehn, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Hardiman died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, in Lawton.
Entombment will be in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 14, 1919, in Gray, to Chandler and Elsie Harwick Bransgrove. She married retired Lt. Col. Joseph F. Hardiman on April 22, 1953, at Worcester, Mass. They moved to Lawton in 1962 from Amarillo, Texas. He died Feb. 27, 1993. She was a retired schoolteacher who taught for Beaver County schools in Liberal, Kan., the Department of the U.S. Army in Japan, and Lawton Public Schools. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and a member of Hooker Chapters No. 248 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Donald J. Hardiman, Lawton; a stepson, Robert R. Hardiman; a stepdaughter, Mary E. Omar; several step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews: Neva Marie Dorman, Gene Bransgrove, Alan Bransgrove, Linda Vilardell, William Bransgrove and Richard Bransgrove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Lawrence Hardiman and Charles Hardiman; and a stepson, Joseph F. Hardiman, Jr.
