BETTY RUTH (BELL) HELMLINGER, 79, of Berryville, was born July 7, 1929, in Coin, a daughter of Finis Edgar and Bertha Mae (Fields) Bell. She died Monday, Sept. 1, in Berryville.
Mrs. Helmlinger was of the Christian Faith. She was a member of the Cove Extension Club.

On July 19, 1954, she was united in marriage with Derrall Lloyd Helmlinger who survives her of the home. She is also survived by three sons, Randy Helmlinger, Jeff Helmlinger and Mark Helmlinger and wife Karen all of Berryville; two daughters, Holli and husband Ed Smith of Berryville, and Erin Harper of Gentry; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Shaun and Tiffany Helmlinger, Adrienne and husband Justin Farnan, Seth and Kennon Helmlinger, Brady Smith, Christina Helmlinger and Jeramiah Pierce and Chancey Edmondson; three great-grandchildren, Damian Helmlinger, Lucas and Jacob Pierce; two sisters, Opal Bell and Cathy Tipton; two brothers, Gary and Ronnie Bell; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kevin Helmlinger, one infant sister and two brothers, Dean and Don Bell.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at Southern Heights Baptist Church with Brother Scott Cox, Pastor Keith Butler and Brother C.W. Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
