Served in the United States Army in Vietnam 52nd Inf. 1st Armed Division, Fort Hood, TX. Received the Bronze Star and National Defense Service Medal with an honorable discharge. He was a proud member of the United Auburn Indian Community. Affectionately called "Big Guy" by family and friends. Survived by his wife, Donna Cooper and his daughters, Sheila and Jessica Cooper. He is further survived by many loved cousins, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Fred Cooper. Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday September 16, 2008 at Lassila Funeral Chapel in Auburn, CA. Relatives & friends are invited to viewing/ visitation Monday September 15, 2008 from 2:30-7:00pm at Lassila Funeral Chapel. Burial at Maidu Indian Cemetery at later date.
