George H. Rehagen of St. Elizabeth, died at the age of 61 at the University Of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia on Monday, September 6, 1971. He was born Aug. 21, 1910, near St. Elizabeth, in Miller County, the son of Frank and Anna Dickneite Rehagen. He was married to the former Miss Catherine Scheuler on Oct. 12, 1937, at St. Louis. She survives at the home in St. Elizabeth, Missouri.
A retired farmer and former employee of a charcoal kiln firm at Meta, Mr. Rehagen lived his entire life in Miller County, except for a short residency in St. Louis. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Survivors include one son, Lawrence H. Rehagen of Meta; 2 daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Nilges of St. Elizabeth and Mrs. Marjorie Herigon of St. Thomas; 3 sisters - Mrs. Emma Weidinger of St. Elizabeth, Mrs. Anna Otto of Dixon, and Mrs. Martha Otto of Iberia; 1 brother, Joseph Rehagen of Jefferson City, and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Ferdinand Bonn officiating. Burial was at St. Lawrence Cemetery, St. Elizabeth, Missouri.
