He served his country with the U.S. Marines during World War II and received the Purple Heart.
Richard enjoyed his grandchildren and gardening.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Lucille (PeeWee) Lichteberger Blough; his children, Carol (Gary) Condry of Wooster, Jeffrey (Mary Ann) Blough of Sagamore Hills and Steve (Teresa) Blough of Wooster; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosemary Altland of Massillon and Gail (Walter) Sniff of Weilersville; a brother, Dale (Millie) Blough of Wooster; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Hoffman of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Twila Neff; and a brother, Ray Blough.
