DIED OF PNEUMONIA
Charles W. Purvis, a promising young man, with a wife and two children, died at his home, on North Pearl Street, Paola, last Wednesday morning, December 11, 1918. He was recovering from pneumonia and took a sudden back set.
Born on the 14th day of April, 1888, at Louisburg, Kansas, he grew to manhood in Miami County. About seven years ago he was married to Miss Ava Morgan, daughter of the late Tom Morgan and there were two children: Charles A. and Howard, aged 5 and 3 years, respectively. The deceased was the son of Charles E. Purvis. The mother of Mrs. Purvis, Mrs. Margaret Morgan, lives with the Charles Purvis family.
The funeral will be held today, services being conducted at the Baptist church, in Louisburg, and burial will be in the village cemetery of that place.
Young Purvis was a good mechanic who had made a success. His work as a carpenter was excellent and he made a good record in the oil fields. Sincere sympathy is extended to the wife and other relatives.
