CLYDE 'BUDDY' FLIPPIN, 63, of Memphis, retired technician for Jameson Pest Control and a landscaper, died Friday at Baptist Hospital East after a short illness. Services will be at 3:45 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home Guardian Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was a member of the Peabody Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Lucille Flippin; three daughters, Mrs. Vicki Welck of Nashville and Mrs. Peggy Arnold and Ms. Myra Flippin, both of Memphis; a son, Alan Flippin of Wichita, Kan.; a stepson Ronnie Perdue of Memphis; his mother, Mrs. Effie Flippin of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Raymond Gruver of Memphis, seven grandchildren and a stepgrandchild.
