Clayton Elmer Bower, 72, of Connellsville, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown. He was born March 16, 1936, in Connellsville, a son of the late Ernest and Susan Onusko Bower. Clayton was a lifelong resident of Connellsville. He worked for DeMarco's Nursery in Connellsville from 1960 to 1998. He was a veteran of the Air Force and Navy. He was a member of the Connellsville American Legion and VFW and the South Connellsville Firemen's Club. He is survived by two sisters, Joan Magee, of Uniontown, and Carol Hall and her husband, Sam, of Washington, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Brown and Betty Hengoed; and two brothers, Buddy and Harry Bower. As per the request of the family, there will be no public viewing or services. Arrangements are under the direction of the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville.
