George W. Slone, aged 63 years, died at his home about three miles west of Iberia Monday night after a two weeks
illness. Mr. Slone has been engaged in farming almost all his life, but recently entered the mercantile business on a small scale at his home on route No. 1.
He is survived by his wife and four children, Mrs. Martha Jones, Elmer, Ray and Roy Slone, also two brothers, John of Iberia and James of Swedeborg.
Interment was made in the Union Cemetery near Brays, Tuesday afternoon.
