Son of Johan Simon Bogenrieff/Boruff & Catharina Elisabeth Wittner. Served in the Revolutionary War. Married Maria Margaret Schell, 17 April 1769, Berks County, Pennsylvania. They had six known children, John Adams, Sarah, Simon, Margaret, Valentine, and Elizabeth Boruff. John Adams and Valentine were the only two children who lived to be adults, all other children died at a very young age.
