MEMBER OF COMMUNITY CHURCH DIES

A Briceville native, who had lived in South Clinton since 1970, Theodore Boyd Ridings, 75, of Lantana Lane, died Friday at his home.

Ridings was a retired boilermaker and had worked in Peoria, Ill. for 17 years before moving back to the area. He was a member of the Ridgeview Community Church and he enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Ridings; two daughters, Mrs., Willa Phillips of Metamora, Ill. and Mrs. Rose Kenyon of Peoria; two sons. Harold Ridings of Peoria and Boyd Ridings of South Clinton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sister, Mrs. Laura Leach of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs., Lois Walden of Santa Monica, Calif. and Mrs. Beatrice DeVoure of San Diego, and three brothers, Virgil Ridings of Metamora, Ill., Curtis Ridings of Powell and Claude Ridings of Florida.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Cox and the Rev. J. Hill officiating. Burial was in Douglas Cemetery in Jellico.
