My grand uncle, James Ross. is the son of John Wilson Standefer and Florence Harriet Parks. He married Annie Randal on 28 Oct 1897 in Morgan, Bosque Co, TX.

J. R. Standefer, 3025 Parrott, died at 11:15 a. m. Sunday at his home.

Funeral services were held at the Calvary Baptist church at 4 p. m. on Monday, Rev. A. J. Holt officiating, burial in Oakwood.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs Annie Standefer of Waco; one son, Harold, Waco; one daughter, Mrs S. A. Parker, Monahans; five brothers, H. R. of Kopperl, W. B. of Meridian, R. W. of Clifton, Dr. Fred W. of Lubbock, J. L. of Clifton; one sister, Mrs. Sam Pace of Waco; two grandchildre, Patsy Ruth and Beverly Ann Standefer of Waco.

Pallbearers: W. M. Stewart, B. B. Lindsey, J. A. Clark, Fayette Randal, W. A. Eichelberger, W. L. Alexander of Dallas.

Mr. Standefer was the owner of "J. R. Standefer Meats" He was a native of this county and had lived in Waco for the last 32 years.
