Francis Edwin "Ed" Anderson 90 of Ontonagon passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit.

He was born on July 5, 1917 to Charles & Wendla (Holm) Anderson. Ed graduated from the Ontonagon High School in 1935. He served in the U.S Army, Sixth Armored Division under General George Patton from March 1942 to November 1945. He worked at Cub Lumber Company, was owner of the West Side Lumber Company and was a logger and farmer, retiring in 1997.

Ed was an avid bowler in his younger years and he enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Tigers.

Ed was survived by his wife Anita and their 10 children Carol Perander of Atlantic Mine, James (Kathy) Anderson, Susan (Edward) Koski, Richard (Tammi) Anderson, Robert Anderson, Wendy (David Menzmer) Anderson, Timothy (Sharon) Anderson all of Ontonagon, June Ann (Will) Rogers of Tustin, MI, Rebecca (Tim) Oger of Hastings, MI and Sharon Anderson of Hastings, MI, one sister Linnea (Ted) Parent of Lakeland, FL one brother Elmer (Jane) Anderson of Ontonagon, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Carl Rudolph and Wendell.
