"Nanny" was born Mary Frances to the late John Jefferson and Mollie Castle Walker in the Martin Springs/Battlecreek community. She was a faithful member of High Point Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Herman "Slim" Goodman, daughter, Eva Robertson. son, John H. "Johnny" Goodman, Jr. great grandson, Joshua Robertson. son-in-law, Alfred C. "Bubba" Stolz, all of Ooltewah; and brother, John Dotson Walker of South Pittsburg, Tennessee. Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Nell McKinley and husband, Everette McKinley, Jewell Stolz; daughter-in-law, Marlene Peters Goodman; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She died from complications of a stroke she suffered a month earlier. She was 99 and lived in Ooltewah.
