DRY PRONG -- Services for Clarence A. "Buck" Arrington Jr. were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hebron Baptist Church with the Revs. Richard DeBusk, Kelly Tingle and Irvin Dewitt officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros., Pineville.

Arrington, 61, of Dry Prong died at 2:28 a.m. Friday in Rapides General Hospital, Alexandria.

He was a native of Grant Parish and a retired construction foreman for T. L. James & Company. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Alma Jean Arrington of Dry Prong; one son, Dennis Arrington of Shreveport; one daughter, Louann Jackson of Shreveport; two stepsons, Timothy Beal, Picayune, Miss., and Herschel Beal, of Tallahassee, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Debra Spiers and Beverly Martin, both Picayune, Miss., and Tammy Smith of Ruston; three sisters, Johnnie Mercer of Winnfield, Jackie Bankston of Dry Prong and Virginia Arrington of Pineville; his parents, Clarence A. Arrington Sr. and Ola Arrington of Dry Prong; and 15 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Mayes, Don Hargis, Bobby Cooper, Gene Roberson, Burnett James, Steve Odom and Max Colvin.
