Mrs. Sarah A. Pierce, wife of Joseph Pierce, died at her home near Pisgah, on Monday afternoon, from hemorrhage of the lungs. She was been in poor health for two years, but her death was sudden.

Mrs. Pierce was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J Henderson. She was forty-nine years of age and the mother of six children.

The funeral services were held at the Pisgah Christian Church, of which organization Mrs. Pierce was a member. Elder Small, of Edinburg, preached the funeral discourse after which the remains were buried in the Pritchard Cemetery.
