Daughter of Daniel Andrew Taylor and Isabell Vee Batchelor
Wife of Stanley LaGrande

Audrey Vee Taylor Nelson Ogden/Lehi, Utah This is my best friend, "Grams". On August 31, 2008 Audrey Vee Taylor Nelson, 77, returned home to her Heavenly Father. She was born on July 2, 1931 in Ogden, Utah to Daniel Andrew and Isabell Batchelor Taylor. She married Stanley LaGrande Nelson, Jr. on July 28, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a remarkable teacher, full of compassion, commitment and love. She taught for over 20 years in Ogden City at Gramercy, Dee, and Horace Mann Elementary. She continues to be a shining teacher to her family and all who knew her. She served diligently in both her community and in all her church callings. Grams had a sincere passion for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to read, and loved sharing her books. She was amazing at working Sudoku and Cryptogram puzzles, even if we couldn't follow along. Grams had a talent for finding magic windows wherever she was. She loved sleepovers, girls-only weekends, and of course, munchies! She leaves her life lessons with son SSG. Scott A. (Kathy) Nelson, US Army Ret. of Copperton, daughter Kathlene (Gary) Owens, of West Valley City; 10 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and her best friends, 30 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Robert A (Margaret) Taylor, of Evanston, WY; her sister Karen (Karl, deceased) Tracy, of Campbell, CA; and her sister Donna (John) Howell of Roy, UT. Also surviving are many other loving family members. Preceded in death by her eternal companion, Stanley, one great-granddaughter, Ashley Nelson, and her special sister-in-law, Janet Taylor. Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Larkin & Sons Mortuary, 496 24th St. Ogden, where friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m., and Monday, from 10 to 10:45 am. Interment in Ogden City Cemetery
