In 1904 the family moved to a smaller farm near Blue Rapids, KS. In July 1910 she moved with her mother to Waterville, KS.
Florence was the organist for the Waterville United Methodist Church for many years. She started working for Dr. Diefendorf on January 1, 1946, and retired in 1956.
Florence published in the local paper a complete history of the Cottage Hill area, the complete history of the Cottage Hill Methodist Church and Waterville Methodist Church.
On September 3, 1980, she entered the United Methodist Home in Topeka, KS., where she passed away in her sleep.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her five sisters, Nellie May Isaacson in 1945; Emma Estella Mills in 1972; Josephine, Mabel and Ethlyn all in infancy. Also many nieces and nephews.
