Belva L. Todd, age 67, a longtime resident of Spooner, died August 25, 2008 at Spooner Health System surrounded by her family.

Belva was born June 11, 1941 in Cumberland to Harry and Voyne Swan. She grew up in Shell Lake where she met and married David Todd in 1958.
She later married Tom Haseltine at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa in 1974 and they settled in Spooner.

Belva had a passion for genealogy and spent much of her free time working on the family tree and helping others do the same. For 30 years, Belva was the organizer of the Cheney Pool Tournament. She was an animal lover. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and hunting outdoors.

Belva was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Marlo, and son-in-law, Bill.

Belva is survived by her children Angie (Rick) Tipple, Stephanie (Jim) Johnson, Cheryl Reierson, Jody (Justin) Peck, and Eric Haseltine, 13 grandchildren, sisters Adora Forward, Gayle (Jack) Kallenbach, Jackie (Bob) Hopman, Jill Swan, Paula Winter, Paulette (John) Lombard, and Robyn (Jim) Seitzer, along with many other relatives and friends.

Internment will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 at Shell Lake Cemetery.
Casket-bearers are nephews Rick Tipple, Jim Johnson, and Justin Peck, and grandsons Alex, Corey, and Spencer Peck.
