Bobbie Virginia Young passed away on Monday, August 5, 2008 at the age of 81. A retired payroll clerk and long time Reno resident, Bobbie was born October 16, 1926 in Durant, OK. She was the mother of five; daughter, Alene Cooper of Portland, OR, son, Stan Farris of Stagecoach, NV, son, Darrell Farris of Silver Springs, NV, son, Ray Farris (preceded in death in 1988), and daughter, Doris Quinn (preceded in death in 2006). She is also survived by her sister, Flo Flugga of Mesa, AZ. Bobbie had seven grand- children, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. They were all the joy of her life. Bobbie had a strong faith in Jesus and was most recently a member of the Assembly of God-Reno at 524 Bell St. She was most open about her faith, and shared with anyone she could. She was known by many as "Grandma Bobbie".

A public viewing will be on Friday, August 8 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Walton Funeral Home at 875 W. 2nd St. Reno. The funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Walton's, followed by a graveside service at Masonic Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 437 Stoker Ave. Reno.
