(nee Huegette Andre Djidjian)
Born February 21, 1937 in Marseille, France, and ascended to heaven on September 4, 2008 following a courageous 23-year battle with cancer. She was a loving, caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Sonia was deeply devoted to her family, friends and church and lived her life full of love, friendship and faith for all she knew.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Samson and Seta Djidjian, in-laws Keith Sr. and Violet, and grandson Alexander. She is survived by husband Keith; son Marc and his wife Veronica; grandsons Xavier and Chris; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Robert Paananen and their children Laura (Russ), Sandra and Debbie (Ernie); brother and sister in-law Patrick and Jill Christensen and their children Nick and Madison; cousins Alice, May, Ruthie, Stella, Rene (Henri) and their children; and many extended family members.
The viewing is September 10, 2008 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the George L. Klumpp, Chapel of Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento. Services will be held at the same location on September 11, 2008 at 10 a.m. Final resting place will be the Odd Fellows Mausoleum & Cemetery following services.
The family requests that donations in her memory be made to St. James Armenian Apostolic Church, 3240 B Street, Sacramento, CA 95816 or to The Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, Texas 75244.
