Juanita Arnold Hastings, 85, of Newbern, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was retired as a hairdresser and employee of Sylvania, and a member of RoEllen Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Lance Hawley officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors from 4:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Hastings McLaurin and husband, Walter, of Oxford, Miss., Jackie Hastings Moore and Donna Hastings Selby, both of Newbern; a son, Charles Michael Hastings and wife, Karen, of Grand Island, Neb.; a special niece, Edith Flatt; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Hastings; her parents, William Henry and Ollie Roberta Arnold; three sisters, Dimple Flatt, Flora Gallahaire and Elizabeth Arnold; and four brothers, Bill Arnold, Bob Arnold, Henry Arnold and Jack Arnold.

Pallbearers will be Jay Troutt, James Thomas Cobb II, Jon Troutt, Shane Pledge, Steven Pledge, Bradley Grimison and David Pledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Lisa Tiede, Laura Hawley, Stephanie Schrader and Emily Hastings.

of Dyersburg -- 94yrs, retired from Dyersburg Fabrics, died Monday, April 04 2005 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at J. W. Curry & Son Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. She was a member of East Dyersburg Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Flatt, the widow of Burlie Flatt, leaves a daughter, Edith Flatt of Dyersburg; a son, Richard Alton Flatt of Columbia; a sister, Juanita Hastings of Newbern, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded by her husband; her parents, William Henry and Ollie Roberta Lowrance Arnold. The family requests that any memorials be sent to East Dyersburg Pentecostal Church Building Fund or Tupelo (Miss.) Children's Mansion.
