They immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1885 with their first three children. Anna broke a needle off in her hand or arm while sewing. The doctors tried to get it out but couldn't and she eventually died from blood poisioning. She had six children, the youngest of which was only one year old at the time of her death. A sister and brother also immigrated to the U.S.: Rudolf von Niederhausern who was murdered 05 Jul 1887 & Elizabeth Steinhauer
