Elizabeth M. Hiles Clawson, 79, of Lucas Pipeline Road, Ruffsdale, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 16, 2005, at her residence. She was born in Ruffsdale Jan. 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Edward Monroe Hiles and Helen Frances McIntyre Hiles. Elizabeth was a member of the Dawson Baptist Church and was a retired prep cook for the former 76 Truck Stop, Smithton, presently Perkins Restaurant, with 12 years of service. She was an avid lover of flowers, crossword puzzles and the seashore. Elizabeth was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted children: Charles R. Clawson and his wife, Alverda (Thomas), of Scottdale, Wayne E. Clawson and his wife, Doris (McCauley), of Hopwood, Raymond E. Clawson, of Ruffsdale, with whom she resided, Linda J. Bibby and her husband, Robert, of Ruffsdale; her five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kim Clawson, Tonja Siwula and her husband, Michael, Michelle Bibby, Robert Bibby and his wife, Shannon, and William Bibby; her six great-grandchildren, Cody, Michael, Jared, Victoria, Emily and Elizabeth Jean; and her two sisters, Josephine Welch, of Ruffsdale RD, and Helen Hinerman, of Ruffsdale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Ray V. Clawson, who died Dec. 29, 1978; and her two brothers, Lewis and James Hiles. Elizabeth's family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. George Rath officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in Huffman Cemetery, South Huntingdon Township
