Edwin Francis Overmier was born in Henry County, Ohio, on Apr. 30, 1868, the son of Joel and Julia Ann (Geeseman) Overmier.
He married Hettie Eva Younkman, the daughter of David M. and Mary Ellen (Rearick) Younkman, on Apr. 25, 1893. They had 2 sons: Eugene Edward and Herbert Francis.
Edwin was a bookkeeper and Secretary-Treasurer of Simmons Boot Company. He belonged to the Republican Party and was a member of the Masonic fraternity.
Edwin died in Toledo at the age of 71 on May 28, 1939 and was buried in Mohler-Union Cemetery.
