James Rhodes: Funeral services for James Rhodes, 81 of Clanton, will be held Friday, Jan. 3, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Boatwright and Rev. Henry Williams. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton. Born on Jan. 22, 1921 to Bud Rhodes and Susie Rhodes of Chilton County, he died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Survivors include sons Daniel Rhodes of Prattville, Edward Rhodes of Suwanee, Ga., Terry Rhodes of Clanton, Roy Rhodes of Pleasant Grove and Bobby Rhodes of Daphne; daughters Ruby Silveroli of Fountain Valley, Calif., Elsie Williams of Hueytown, Sue Cox of Clanton, Brenda White of Clanton, Judy Wyatt of Thorsby and Sandy Dunn of Prattville; brothers Melvin Rhodes of Clanton and Odell Rhodes of Clanton; sisters Lois Headley of Jemison and Berlie Headley of Jemison; 32 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
