She was a native of Granville County, the widow of Dr. Rives W. TAYLOR, Sr. and the daughter of the late Richard Henry and Mary Huske Lewis.
She attended St. Mary's Junior College in Raleigh and UNC in Chapel Hill. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and was a homemaker.
Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford by the Rev. Fiona Bergstrom.
Surviving are a step-son, Rives W. TAYLOR, Jr., of Butner; a son, Dr. Richard Lewis TAYLOR and wife, Julia Hamme TAYLOR, of Oxford; a daughter, Martha TAYLOR Yeargin and husband, Neil Woody Yeargin, of Greensboro; a sister, Eliza Lewis Parham, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Richard Lewis TAYLOR, Jr., TAYLOR Yeargin Appleyard and husband, Doug, Neil Woody Yeargin Jr., and wife, Justine, Daniel Yeargin, and Anna Yeargin Ruth and husband, James; and her great-grandchildren, Will and Sarah Appleyard, Shea, Liam and Keely Yeargin, Michael and Thomas Ruth.
