Norma Jean Carpenter Jackson, 74, died at her home on Aug. 19, 2006. She was born Feb. 27, 1932 in Delta, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Corrine Tripp Carpenter; father, Thomas Joseph Dewey Carpenter; brother, Donald Dewey Carpenter; and her husband, Ted Jackson.
Ted and Norma were married in 1969 and lived in the Delta and Fillmore area.
She is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Geniel) Bowers, Mrs. Joe (Dorothy) Cardova of Nephi, UT, and Mrs. Steve (Clara) Posey of San Leandro, CA; sons, Boyd Byrd and family of Chubbuc, ID, Tony Byrd and family of Riverton, WY, Melvin Byrd, Clark Byrd; and daughter, Jean Byrd of Salt Lake City, UT, Stacy Jackson and family of Layton, UT, Sherrie Labrum and family of Puhrump, NV, Kim Jackson, Treasa Faunce and family of La Verkin, UT, and Michelle Cannon of Fillmore, UT. She has 30 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fillmore Cemetery. A viewing will be at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Fillmore, UT from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23rd.
