Obituary- Post Cresent - Tues. March 22 1938
MICHAEL MALENOFSKI SR. Menasha - Michael Malenofski Sr. 80, 229 Kaukauna Street, died at his home at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon. Mr. Malenofski, one of the few surviving members of the call fire department that served during the Whiting fire about 50 years ago, suffered an injury to a foot in January and suffered a heart attack March 19. He was a cooper at the Menasha Wooden Ware the last 50 years and was a member of St. Joseph society of St. Mary's church. Mr. Malenofski was born in Germany, Oct. 12 1857, and came to Menasha in 1874.
Surviving are the widow: three daughters, Mrs. John Pankratz, Mrs. Harry Sheering, Mrs. George Verhoven, Menasha: two sons, Michael Jr., George, Menasha: four sisters, Mrs. John Zeininger, Mrs. Anna Samletzka, Mrs. Martha Weber, Menasha: Sister Theonill, Order of St. Francis, LaCona, Iowa.
The funeral services will be held at 8:30 Thursday morning at the residence and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church with the Rev. John Hummel in charge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body will be at the residence from this evening until the time of funeral services.
