Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in Hapeville. The Rev. Paul M. Gilliam and the Rev. D.W. Cason will officiate with burial in Mt. Zion Methodist churchyard.
Although she was born in Carroll County, Miss Garst had lived in the Atlanta area most of her life. She was a semi-invalid and spent a great deal of her time quilting, embroidering, and crocheting. Miss Garst was a member of the old Central Baptist Church in Hapeville.
Surviving are a brother, Charlie L. Garst, Houston, Texas; a half-brother, Arthur Garst, Douglasville, and several other nieces and nephews.
