The immediate family shared the simple occasion Sunday, December 20, which marked the Golden Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Bean. Both Mr. and Mrs. Bean (nee Alice Davis) were born in Clay County, Tennessee near Red Boiling Springs. They were married there in 1903 and then came to Limestone County in 1916, where they have lived since. The Beans have five children who include: Mrs. Lilliam Brown, Mrs. Leonard (Myrtle) Hagood, and Dexter Bean, all of Athens, Mrs. L.J. (Mildred) Schrimsher of Decatur and Baxter Bean of Duncan, Arizona; also five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
