Reggie J. Adams, 54, of Gladstone, Missouri, formerly of Blandinsville, Illinois, died Wednesday August 16, 2006 in Leavenworth, Kansas when the motorcycle he was riding while escorting a funeral procession was struck by another vehicle.
He was born June 28, 1952 in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Sterling and Joanne Wyatt Adams. He was a graduate of Northwestern High School and attended a technical school in Des Moines, studying electronics. He served in the Iowa National Guard for 10 years. He was currently designing web pages and worked fora motorcycle escort service.
He was a member of LaHarpe Christian Church.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Sterling and Barbara Adams of Blandinsville, Illinois; sisters Susan Stevins of Middletown, Iowa and Sherry Tilling of Mack Creek, Missouri and step-brothers Kevin Fowler and Kurt Fowler both of Monmouth, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother and brothers, Terry Lee Adams and Jeffrey Lee Adams.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday August 21, 2006 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Daren Beachy offciaiting. Burial will be held at a later date in Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville. A memorial fund has been established for St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
