Mrs. Hackney was a member of Friend's church on Washington Avenue. She is survived by her husband, five daughters; Mrs. Eva I. Solomon, Miss Maude Hackney and Mrs. Carrie Waugh of Knoxville, Mrs. Ethel Linginfelter, of Greenback, Mrs. Laura E. Livingston of Mt. Wolfe, Pennsylvania, and one son, Charles E. Hackney, of Knoxville. Three sisters, , Mrs. Myrah Hollifield, Mrs. Eliza Hackney of Friendsville, Mrs. Irene Parkins, of Maryville, and one brother, J. L. Brackett, of Friendsville; twenty-six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Lynnhurst-Resthaven cemetery.
