DURWARD D. AGERTON
1919 - 2008

Durward D. Agerton, age 89 of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008.
He was a member of Ferry Pass Church of Christ. Durward was honorably discharged by the U.S. Army, where he served with General Patton for three years. While in the U.S Army, he received several medals including a Good Conduct Medal, W.W.II Victory Medal, an EAMETO and a ROME-ARMO Campaign Battle Medal. He retired from Civil Service after forty years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and was a 33rd Degree Mason and a member of Scottish Rite. For his last seven years he lived with and was cared for by his niece, Vicky Peace.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Parsley Agerton; daughter, Alicia Cutler and his granddaughter, Deborah Cutler.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Jimmy, Johnny and Susan Cutler; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Edward Parsley and his wife, Mary Catherine and his sister-in-law, Doris Cashwell; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Travelers Rest Cemetery in Flomaton, AL with Pastor Richard Leeper officiating.
FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Parkway, is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m.
