PIERZ -- Eugenia C. Meyer, 92, Pierz, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.

She was born April 25, 1910, in Freeport to Joe and Anna (Baumkempner) Voelker. She moved to Pierz at age 5. She married Andrew Meyer on Nov. 26, 1935, in Pierz. They settled in Pierz until 1947. They moved to Lastrup. Her husband died in November 1961. She moved back to Pierz in 1974. She was a member of Christian Mothers.

Survivors include a son, Don Meyer, Pierz; two daughters, Jonelle Orth, Sauk Rapids, and Iris Moore, New Hope; six grandchildren; and a sister, Lavina Meyer, Brainerd.

Her husband; four brothers, Joe, Othmar, Werner and Alphonse Voelker; and five sisters, Gesela Waninger, Erma Kowalzek, Alma Schomer, Mary Schomer and an infant sister, died earlier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Nepomunk Cemetery in Lastrup.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, with Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until services Saturday at Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz.
