A memorial service for Charles J Campbell of Dallas, an independent real estate broker, was set for 4 pm April 30,1983 in Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Campbell, 87, died Wednesday April 27,1983 in a Houston hospital from complications after surgery.
Campbell had been an independent real estate broker in Dallas for about eight years after retiring from the Social Security Administration where he worked for many years.
He was a member of the Glen Oaks United Methodist Church, National Association of Retired Persons.
He was born January 17,1916 in Ringwood Oklahoma to Joseph E and Mary Emma Hall Campbell. He served in the U S Army during World War ll and the Korean War. He married Wilma Samp on February 3,1945 in San Antonio Texas and had lived in Dallas since 1961.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma L. Campbell of Dallas; a daughter Karen L. Campbell of Dallas; a son, Stephen B Campbell of El Paso; and a brother Jess Campbell of Ringwood, Okla. He was preceded in death by both parents (buried at Pleasant Hill in Meno) , a sister Bertha Campbell Francis (buried at Ames Cemetery) and three brothers Paul Blossom Campbell, Carl Andrew Campbell and Kenneth Elmer Campbell (all buried at Pleasant Hill in Meno).
