Knox was my husband's great uncle. John Knox and Belle had five children: Herman Jack; Opie Reed; John Carl; Lois Helen; & Ruby Lee. John & Belle were married in 1903. Knox, as the family called him, was killed when he pulled out onto Highway 77 (Main Street) in front of an oncoming car which was not able to stop in time to prevent the accident. I live in the house that once belonged to him.
