CONNIE JORDAN
Connie [Zike] Jordan, 98, died Saturday, December 4, 1999, at Haxtun Hospital from natural causes.
She was born on September 8, 1901, in New Hampton, MO, to Howard and Ethel [Wayman] Zike. She was raised around New Hampton, MO, in a family of five. In 1922 she married Hobart McGinley. She and McGinley divorced in 1928 shortly after the birth of their fourth child.
On September 8, 1930, she married Glynn Jordan in New Hampton, MO. They moved to Alamosa where she lived for 60 years. In 1990 Connie moved to Haxtun where she could be close to her children.
She was a member of the Haxtun United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
Connie is survived by her children, Clarissa Bruce, Grand Junction, Glynn Jordan, Grand Junction, Howard McGinley, Spokane, WA, Homer McGinley, Castro Valley, CA, Evelyn Dunnigan, Kansas City, MO, Melvin Jordan, Kalispell, MT, Larry Jordan, Woodland Park, and Connie Haynes, Haxtun; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glynn Jordan, two brothers, two sisters, and an infant daughter, Connie Mae.
Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, December 8, at Tennant-Thompson Funeral Home, Haxtun, with Pastor Tom Cross officiating. Burial will follow at Haxtun Cemetery
