Buffalo, June 16 - Mrs. Marietta Stoker died here today at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 14 days. Mrs. Stoker's maiden name was Marietta Miller. She was born near Westville, OH., March 2, 1834. She came to Sangamon county with her parents in 1843, where she lived in Clear Lake township until she was married to Henry M. Stoker Dec. 20, 1855. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Stoker resided on the farm until his enlistment in the Union army in 1863, when Mrs. Stoker moved to Buffalo with her two sons. Mr. Stoker died in 1874.
Mrs. Stoker joined the Methodist Episcopal church when a girl and remained a faithful member until her death. She is survived by two sons, B. A. and O. A. Stoker, both at home.
Funeral services will be held at the Buffalo M. E. church Thursday afternoon. Interment will be made in Mechanicsburg cemetery.
