COPENHAVER, Donald K., 80, of Moundsville, W.Va., died Friday, August 29, 2008, in Wheeling Hospital.

Born in New Martinsville, W.Va. on March 13, 1928, Donald was the son of the late James A. and Bulah Tankersley Copenhaver.

He was a manager for 45 years for the McCroy Corporation; and a Staff Sgt. in the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, James Daniel Copenhaver.

Surviving are his wife, Darleen Eller Copenhaver; two daughters, Jana Mack and her husband, Edward, of Centerburg, Ohio, and Dava Moyer and her husband, Gregory, of Moundsville; one brother, Brooks Copenhaver of Logan, Ohio; his sister, Mary Longstreth and her husband, Gary, of Dublin, Ohio; two grandchildren, David Mack of Centerburg, Ohio and Stephanie Douglass and her husband, First Lt. Anthony Douglass, of Watertown, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville on Sunday, August 31, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.

Entombment will follow in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum, Moundsville.
