They resided in Madison and Philadelphia, moving to Stoughton in 1950, to make their home. Here she was employed at the Koltes and Keegan Company, Anderson Pharmacy, and Johnson Dairy. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church where she was active with the Altar Guild and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Stoughton Hospital Auxiliary, Stoughton Fire Department Auxiliary, and a former member of the Stoughton Library Board.
Her life was built around her family which included her son, Robert E. (Mary) Barnett Jr. of Stoughton; a daughter, Barbara (Donald) Barnett of Madison; her four grandchildren, Robert Barnett III, Jennifer Barnett, Dawn (Michael) Lamberty, and David Hanson; four great-grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, and Riley, Brandon, and Noah Lamberty; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Slater of North Wales, Penn.; a cousin, Darlene Wright; two sisters, Marilyn (Erwin) Stensaas and Charlotte Peckenpaugh; a brother, Walter Roberts; and her special friends, Jim and Erma Sundby.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at OLSON-HOLZHUTER-CRESS, casual dress attire requested. The Rev. Rebecca Ninke will officiate. Burial will follow at Lutheran South Cemetery.
