Obituary
EDITH MAE DELOZIER
b.30 Jun 1913
d.27 Feb 1933, Henry Coutny, Missouri
Clinton MO - Young Girl in Heaven - Deepest sorrow has touched the heart of G M Delozier, father, and the brothers and sisters, of Edith May Delozier, but they too, will have comfort from the thought that the nineteen year old girl, who has departed, was sweet and pure, and has gone to a fairer and peaceful land that knows not the darkness of this earth. September 21, 1932, Edith May was wounded by the accidental discharge of a pistol. She was taken to the Bothwell Memorial Hospital in Sedalia for treatment, where she remained for two weeks and was confined to her bed for four or five weeks. She continued to improve in health until about six weeks ago, when there was a change, and since she had grown weaker until her death, the evening of February 27. Loving hands cared for her. Her suffering was borne bravely and patiently, and she was often heard to call upon her loving Heavenly father. Edith May was the daughter of G M Delozier and Nettie Ann Delozier, and was born June 30, 1913. She joins her mother in another world, as Mrs Delozier died six years ago. For several years, Edith had been a member of the Tebo Baptist Church. The funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon of last week by Reverend William Briggs, and burial was there. Besides the father, the young girl leaves her brother and sisters: Charles W and Lawrence F Delozier, Jewel, Iowa; Walter G, Everett F, Mrs J W Summers, Clark M, and Miss Florence E Delozier, Leesville, and her fiance, Herbert Miller, who lives near her home. All the brothers and sisters attended the funeral except Charles.
