Leeta C. Williamson, 100, of Brackenridge, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008, peacefully at Highlands Genesis Eldercare. Formerly of Freeport, Mrs. Williamson was born Aug. 19, 1907, in New Alexandra, the daughter of the late Albert Rearick. She was the widow of Henry C. Williamson who passed 1954. Leeta was a member of Freeport United Methodist Church. She was employed as a packer at Schenley Distilleries for 32 years. She enjoyed cooking and traveling. She is survived by her daughter, Madeline Lucas, of Sacramento, Calif. Leeta is also survived by her nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Henry W. Williamson; her grandson, Michael Lucas; two brothers; and two sisters. Family and friends are being received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Edd Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Freeport Cemetery.
