Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late John Erastus Sullivan and Willie Jane Murray Sullivan. Mrs. Lilly was a longtime member of Lilly Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, the WMU, served as church Treasurer and played the piano for over 50 years. She was also active in numerous civic activities including the Lilly Womans Club and serving on the Dooly Arts Council's committee to renovate the Lilly School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lindon Lilly and by her sons, John Alexander Lilly and Robert Malcolm Lilly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 3 in Lilly Baptist Church. Rev. Thomas L. Stone and Rev. Bill Tracy will officiate and burial will follow in Lilly City Cemetery.
