ECKELS - Everett W., 57, of 902 North Third street (sic), died yesterday at Mont Alto Sanitarium. He was born November 8, 1891, the son of the late William Huston and Jennie Hershman Armstrong Eckels, of Mechanicsburg. He was a direct descendant of Cumberland County pioneers, some of whom served in the Revolutionary War. He was a lifelong member of the Washington Fire Company, Mechanicsburg. He is survived by a son, Lt. Harry H. Eckels, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Blanche Eckels, of Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. Edward Koser, Sr., of this city; a halfbrother (sic), Charles S. Armstrong, Bowmansdale; a niece and several nephews. Services Sunday afternoon 2:30, Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Rev. S. Eber Vance officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening, 7 - 9. Interment Silver Spring Cemetery.
